Nancy Tate Hall, a native Tennessean, arrived in Aspen via Washington, D.C., where she was a legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. On a brief ski trip to Aspen in the early ’70’s, she decided on the plane back to D.C., that Aspen was the place for her. Her first job here in a small law office (with two of Aspen’s history makers) introduced her to the sensitive and controversial issues of land use and resource management in Pitkin County. From the beginning, Nancy recognized and appreciated the importance of maintaining the essence of the true Aspen and its unique, small-town character as the market changed and grew. Also a free-lance legal secretary and working photographer for many years in and around Aspen, Nancy was a still photographer and production assistant on several film projects, most notably Steve Martin’s first movie, The Jerk. Nancy and former husband and long-time Aspenite, Chuck Hall, raised two sons in Aspen and Hawaii. Both graduated Punahou School in Honolulu and currently live and work in New York City (Chapin Hall—cinematographer) and LA (Tate Hall—audio engineer). Nancy has returned to live here full time and recently joined the staff of Stirling Homes, Inc., bringing with her the historical perspective and enthusiastic reverence for the Aspen area that will enhance your personal Aspen real estate experience. Nancy can be found enjoying the myriad of experiences that bring the world to Aspen: skiing, snowboarding, biking, hiking, taking in world-class music at the Aspen Music Tent in the summer, Jazz Aspen events in the summer and fall, Thursday concerts all summer long at Snowmass. Additionally, she loves pilates at the Red Brick, yoga, cooking organic vegetarian cuisine, photography, and maintaining and enjoying the house she designed and built in Meadowood.
